Monoline, from the Holsteiner line 8777,is the dam of Calvin Z and is one of the most important mares in Holstein.
She is the mother of the stallion CANTUS - father of the World Champion Calvaro Z, and the stallions Come On, Calido I, Calido II and Cascavelle.
Monoline is also the dam of the great Lansing and her daughters produced the stallions Larome, Tin Rocco and Liguster.
Lake Bid descends from the Hannoverian bloodline 8777. The foundation mare Jossa, born in 1950, is the basis of this line. Her daughter Usa produced only two daughters: Kola and Monoline who are both by the fantastically successful sire Roman.
Monoline was a jumper and produced three approved sons.
In 1981 the famous stallion Cantus was born who, after his international jumping career, produced the stallions, Calido I and II, Canturo, Cellestial, Cockpit, Cascavelle (Lake Bids dams sire), Come On and Cyrano.
The second approved son is Calvin Z (by Caletto II) who had a jumping index of 168 (88%) in Germany in 2007.
The third approved son of Monoline was Lansing, born in 1986 and whom is the sire of Lake Bid. Lansing is leased to Foulkes Stud (Goldengrove Studfarms) in New Zealand by the Holstein Verband.
The bloodline of the great stallion producer Monoline will be appealing to those breeders who rightly believe that maternal bloodlines are important.
